Viet Nam VeteransBase Camp

Fifteen or so of us, still flying in formation. This is where we keep the calendar, the photographs, the recorded calls, and the stories that only get better every time somebody tells them.

Who we are

A small outfit with a long memory

Base Camp is our private ground — no public roster, no outside traffic. Just the crew, trading photographs on a Tuesday night and arguing about who really had the better landing zone story.

  • Still finding each other

Half a century on, names keep surfacing. Every one of them has a seat at this fire.

  • Keeping the record

Photographs, dates, call recordings — the things that fade if nobody writes them down.

  • Mostly laughing

There is grief in this history, and there is a whole lot of laughing. We make room for both.

On the calendar

Next muster

Monthly calls, annual gatherings, and whatever somebody talks the rest of us into this year.

Nothing posted yet

The next gathering shows up here the moment it goes on the calendar.

Pass it on

If we don't write it down, it leaves with us.

Every member has a few that deserve to outlive the telling. Add yours to the book — a paragraph counts.
